George Makaronidis

George Makaronidis works as Signmak, from Thessaloniki. He has been an industrial designer since 2001, and now builds the digital version of things that already exist in print, stone or memory: the virtual tour of the Kythera semaphore station and the tour of the submarine Proteus, both for ELINIS, the Greek institute of naval history, and aporia.gr, an index of the Greek school curriculum. He also writes and publishes NO BOX.

Where the name comes from

Signmak is Mak, signed. It has nothing to do with sign making. In his words, it is what goes at the bottom of a drawing when the drawing is finished and he will stand behind it.
