Privacy

The short version

This site has no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising. It loads nothing from a third party: the fonts are served from this domain, so no request about you reaches anyone else. The only personal data that exists is what you choose to type into the form, and it is used once, to answer you.

Who is responsible

The data controller is:

What is collected, and only if you send it

• Your email address, which is the only required field.
• Your name, if you choose to give it. It is optional.
• Your four answers: what you have, the detail, what done looks like, and when.
• Anything you write in the optional note field.

Nothing is collected while you simply read the page.

Why, and on what basis

To send you the one reply you asked for, and to carry on that conversation if you want one. The lawful basis is your own request, which under the GDPR is either steps taken at your request before entering a contract, or your consent. There is no other purpose.

What is never done with it

• It is not sold, rented or traded.
• It is not added to a mailing list, and you will not receive a newsletter.
• It is not used to profile you or to build an advertising audience.
• It is not shared with anyone who is not needed to deliver the reply.

The spam check

Before the form will send, it asks you to put a missing piece back into the mark, and it notes how long the form was open and that it was actually interacted with. Those two numbers travel with your message so an automated submission can be told apart from a real one. They are not used to identify you, to profile you, or for anything else, and the check runs entirely on this site: no third party sees you solve it. If you cannot see the shapes there is a checkbox that does the same job.

How long it is kept

While the enquiry is open, and for up to twenty four months afterwards in case you come back to it. After that it is deleted. Ask sooner and it goes sooner.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what is held, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, ask for its use to be restricted, ask for it in a portable form, or object to its use. Write to signmak@gmail.com and it will be handled without charge. You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority at dpa.gr.

Where it is processed

The reply is written and sent from Greece. If a mail provider is used to deliver it, that provider processes the address only to deliver the message. This section will name the exact provider once the form's delivery is wired. Until then the form falls back to opening your own mail client, which means the message goes directly from you to the operator and passes through nobody else.
