MACHINE 404 / WooCommerce
WooCommerceIs your WooCommerce shop readable by AI?
WooCommerce is the platform where the score moves on its own. Everything here is produced by a stack of plugins that update independently of each other, so the structured data you had in March can be gone in April with no warning, no error and no change you made.
What the stack gives you
WooCommerce itself emits Product markup with a price on product pages. An SEO plugin adds the title, description, canonical, OpenGraph card and sitemap. Together that is a respectable start and it is why Woo shops rarely score at the bottom.
The three things that silently break it
A theme update. Structured data often lives in template files, and an update replaces them. Nothing warns you, no dashboard turns red, and the first symptom is fewer enquiries six weeks later. Two plugins doing the same job. An SEO plugin and a schema plugin both writing an Organization produce two different companies with the same name. A caching or optimisation plugin that defers scripts can move your markup behind JavaScript, where most AI crawlers never see it.
This is the whole argument for measuring monthly rather than once. A one-off fix on WooCommerce has a half-life, and it is shorter than people expect.
What no plugin will give you
The company. Plugins describe pages and products; almost nothing describes the business behind them, and that is the heaviest identity check there is. Services with prices in a table or a PDF stay invisible too, because Product markup covers a shop and nothing covers a service page unless it is written.
